For individuals, including seafarers and travellers, who need to disembark at one of Norway's ports and then board another vessel to reach a non-Schengen destination, they may be obligated to apply for a Norway Transit Visa.

Here is a list of the necessary documents when applying for a Norway Transit Visa:

1. A valid visa (if it's required) for the final destination country you intend to travel to.

2. Proof of your ticket for the non-Schengen country you are heading to.

3. Your Seaman's book (original and a photocopy) – this is exclusively required for seafarers.

4. A letter from the inviting Shipping Company. This letter should be issued by the inviting Shipping Company located in the Schengen country where the seafarer will disembark. This requirement is applicable only to seafarers.

5. An employment contract. This contract should be with the navigation company or ship that you intend to board. Again, this document is necessary only for seafarers.
