The duration of your visa-free stay in Lithuania is contingent upon your nationality. If you hold a passport from one of the following categories, you can enter Lithuania without a visa and stay for up to 90 days:

1. EU / EEA member countries: However, if you plan to stay longer, you must register with the relevant Lithuanian authorities.

2. Passport holders from Australia, Israel, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, the Republic of South Korea, or the United States of America: To extend your stay beyond 90 days, you need to obtain a residence permit within three months of your arrival in Lithuania.

3. Lithuania visa-exempt countries: If you wish to stay beyond 90 days, you should obtain a Lithuanian National visa for long-term stays from your country of residence.

On the other hand, if you hold a passport from a country that has not signed a visa-free agreement with the Schengen Area, you must acquire a visa before traveling to Lithuania or any other Schengen member country.
